POWER OF TEN

*Please note that you must be a WVVMA member to participate*

ABOUT:

Power of Ten is a WVVMA initiative designed to help recent graduates develop fundamental skills in leadership, communication, and business.

HOW IT WORKS:

The Power of Ten program will provide up to ten recent graduates (graduated from a college of veterinary medicine with a DVM degree within the years 2014-2022) with a series of leadership, personal, and professional development sessions over a eight-month period. WVVMA will provide topic experts and meetings at no charge for the participants. These sessions will not only convey key learning points about leadership, but also deepen the understanding on a number of related topics. Sessions will include four sessions and the opportunity to attend the AVMA Veterinary Leadership Conference in Chicago in January 2024.

KEY BENEFITS:

  • Develop fundamental understanding of leadership skills, personal branding, and emotional intelligence
  • Deepened comprehension of communication styles and skills
  • Gain the competency to utilize these skills within one’s life, practice and community
  • Experience a supportive environment that fosters meaningful interpersonal relationships and collaborative, lifelong interactions
